4th of July/Birthdays

The very talented Leslie made yet another wonderful cake creation. This is a cake in the shape of a cow. Both Jack and Dylan loved their special cake. I can't get over how quickly they have grown!
Nate loves to lay out in the sun...it runs in the family!

Here is Lexi and Nate playing in the pool. A beautiful sunny day.

Aunt Leslie let Nate use a little swimmers diaper, so Nate got to play in the pool with his older cousins! This was Nate's first time being in water. He liked it, but in the wind he got a little cold.

Aunt Leslie and Uncle Scott hosted a birthday party for Dylan and Jack who both have b-days in July. The boys had fun opening all their presents, and had even more fun playing with their new toys.

Grandma Boonstra bought this shirt for Nate. Cousins Lexi and Jack have similar shirts, and boy are they cute when they wear them...very appropriate! We didn't get to go to any parade's, but we had a fun day anyway.

We spent the 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa Hable's house. Grandma, mom, and Nathan went thrift store shopping (50% off all prices at thrift stores is a GREAT deal!) We had a lot of fun and then came back for a BBQ.

Stanley's

Jason and I took Nate out for a boat ride. He didn't like when we went too fast, so we settled for a smooth cruise around the lake. He sure enjoyed that!
The sun setting on the lake. We had gorgeous weather, and at this moment there was no wind, so it made for a beautiful setting.

The end of the week group photo. It was hard to get a good picture since we were all swatting away the huge Canadian mosquitos. Yes, I know they are the same size as the ones we have in MN...

Here's a great picture of Todd & Stacy (you can even see Jack slightly right behind Todd!) Just another relaxing night out on the lake at Stanley's.

Couldn't resist

I have to add one more picture of our smiley guy. He has started to giggle, and it has got to be one of the cutest sounds in the world. He, he, he, hhhuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh. I think he gets his laugh from his dad. He will be 12 weeks old on Friday, where has the time gone? We had to retire most of his 0-3 mos. clothes, and it was a sad occasion. He is helping mom pack for the trip, and I think he has more clothes than I do!

No worries...

Now that Nate has his own life jacket, he is ready to go fishing, so 'no worries' about that (as if I worried). :)

Cousins

Here is a picture of Nate with all his Boonstra cousins.

2 Month Check-up

Couldn't resist adding a couple smiley pics!
This is the last of the newborn clothes Nate fits in. I still can't believe how big he is! Although, it's not surprising considering how long and big he was at birth.

At 2 months old Nate is in the 98th percentile for height, 56th for weight (11 lbs. 10 oz.) and 46th percentile for head size. He doesn't have the typical "Boonstra head" size yet!!

Easter

Formal Easter picture of the family. Baby's first Easter!
Nate received a yellow bunny from his grandparents. He slept most of the day and didn't make a 'peep'.

Nathan's birth

I know we are extremely biased, but he has got to be one of the cutest babies ever! :)
Jason and the little guy at the hospital. This is one of the first pics with Nate's eyes open.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee's NATHAN!! On March 27th at 4:00 pm our son was born. Mom was in labor for 24 hours, and Nate was having so much fun inside that he didn't want to come out. Mom and dad made the hard decision to have him via c-section. Here is a picture of Nate when he was only hours old. He weighed in at 9 lbs. 3.6 oz., and was 21 1/2 inches long.
